I have been using this for about 2 months and the bumps on the back of my arms is nearly gone. I have tried tons of lotions over the year and this is the only thing that has come close to getting rid of my KP. Love that it is not greasy or smelly. Wonderful product.

I started using Lac-Hydrin 5 as a face cream only 7 months ago and my skin has never looked better. I would only get a couple of bad breakouts a year, but always had the tiny bumps and large pores. This (along with BP 2.5%) has really cleared up my skin and makes it look dewy. The tiny bumps are gone and the pores are smaller (some improvement). I used to have to use this as a teenager for the bumps on my arm, I never thought I would use it in my 30s for my face! I highly recommend especially considering the price.

I’ve never done an amazon review before, but I had to give props to Lac-Hydrin 5 when I saw it listed here. My dermatologist suggested I use this a few years ago when I was taking Accutane, which causes serious dry skin. It was the best lotion I’ve ever used. It has the amazing quality of going on very lightly and easily (not oily at all) but still being very moisturizing. It’s also unscented. I love it.

This may very well be the best lotion I have ever used. It is light in consistency, non-greasy in feeling, and dries very fast on your skin. And it makes your skin feel so soft and smooth–unbelievably baby soft. I always liked to use “Galderma Laboratories Inc 0299-391716 Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream, Fragrance Free 16 oz (453 g)” as my better lotion, when I needed my skin to feel its best, but the results with using this lotion is much better than when using Ceptaphil. Much better. For those with the skin condition KP (the tiny chicken-bumps skin), Lac-Hydrin sooths and makes your skin feel so smooth and velvety. I highly recommend it for KP.
Lac-Hydrin is virtually scent-less, though not entirely so. It does have a very light (and somewhat unpleasant) smell to it (which may be due to the urine ingredient). But you’ll find that once you apply it to your skin, the smell goes away fast. Some of the other reviewers mentioned that the lotion stings (like after you shave or something). I’ve been using this lotion for a couple of months now, and it has never stung my skin. I guess people’s skin react differently.

This product made my skin smooth and luxurious. I would definitely recommend it to a friend. It greatly improved the softness of my skin. My legs and arms were very dry from the winter cold, and the heat indoors takes away more moisture from my skin. Lac-hydrin Five rejuvenated it. I think the product works better than other moisturizers I’ve used. Perhaps it’s the lotion’s ingredients. I would definitely look to purchase this.
